Breakfast in the Hunter Valley

The best breakfasts in the Hunter Valley.

In my opinion one of the delights of having a weekend away is the opportunity to have a leisurely breakfast. If you are staying at one of the wonderful B&B’s around the Hunter Valley then you probably have your breakfast covered, but if you are looking for some other options I can heartily recommend the following. Please be aware most of these venues are absolutely pumping on the weekend so please make sure you book so you don’t end up hangry!

Café Enzo: The ham breakfast board is the best way to start the day and get you ready for a day of wine tasting. This is my most regular breakfast spot – it’s an easy stroll over the hill from our Gillards Rd cellar door and they also have Campos coffee – very hard to resist.

Restaurant Cuvee: Sometimes the best way to start the day is with a cheeky like glass of bubbles with breakfast. If that sounds like you the Restaurant Cuvee is definitely for you. There is a great range of delicious egg dishes on offer for breakfast and they and a kids menu for breaky as well. And if you just need a little something after all that savoury goodness then the Hunter Valley Chocolate Factory will be open to help you out.

Emersons: 492 Lovedale Rd, Lovedale NSW 2320. The newest addition to breakfast in the Hunter Valley is definitely doing an amazing job. Personally my favourite is the House cooked mix bean ragout, chorizo sausage, fried egg & toasted bread but I’ve been told that the fluffy pancakes topped with bananas, honeycomb butter & maple is pretty damn fine too.
