Top 10 School Holiday Activities in the Hunter Valley

School holidays are the perfect opportunity for some family time in the Hunter Valley, with a variety of activities to keep the whole family entertained. We are child friendly here at Scarborough with kids colouring packs and some toys outside but we thought we would also share with you some of our favourite things to do with kids in between wine tasting.

Hunter Valley Wildlife Park
Open every day of the school holidays, the Hunter Valley Wildlife Park is home to a wide range of animals: birds, meerkats, kangaroos, alligators, lions, and almost everything in between. The park offers daily shows and animal encounters – you can even feed some of the resident kangaroos!

Keeping with the animal theme, if you’re after something slightly more interactive for the kids, Hunter Valley Horse Riding may be just what you’re looking for. The picturesque Hunter Valley provides the perfect backdrop, and Hunter Valley Horse Riding cater for all ages, even offering a group ride tour and horse and carriage rides so the whole family can get involved.

Stretching all the way from the New England Highway to Broke Road, you can choose to cycle for as little or as long as you like, and there’s no shortage of bike hire in the area.
