What’s an InstaMeet, anyway?

No, it’s not about finding a sudden beef bourguignon on your dining table. An InstaMeet is when a group of Instagrammers come together at a pre-organised location to take photos and videos together. It’s an Instagram love-in. A way to connect with like-minded folks where you can share tips and tricks with community members, meet fellow influencers and get out and about in very photogenic places.

Take a look at this video for InstaMeet inspiration.

Don’t be fooled into thinking InstaMeets are just for the big-time influencers of the Instagram world. Nor do you need to be a professional photographer. You simply need a device with a camera, a hunger to snap top pics and a desire for others to see them.

How do I join this InstaMeet?

Show up at the designated time. Simple as that. We’ll provide the photo challenges and great locations for you to explore. If you register before the InstaMeet, your nametag will be ready when you arrive so you can make the most of connecting with other Instagrammers .

What do I need?

An Instagram account  your phone or digital camera and a desire to explore the best of the Hunter Valley with fellow Instagrammers and wine lovers.

What will happen on the day?

The InstaMeet group will gather at Scarborough Wine Co by 10.30am on 18 October. We will provide a series of photo walks and winery sessions to bring great photo opportunities to life while you learn more about wine and explore our backyard in the beautiful Hunter Valley.

During the InstaMeet, we’ll lead a vineyard tour and a wine-blending session to provide inside knowledge about what our winemakers are looking for as they blend together special parcels to make our Hunter Valley wine. There will also be a  handful of Instagrammers on hand to help you capture even better photos.

Once we’ve snapped until we can snap no more, we’ll assemble at Scarborough Wine Co on Gillards Road and enjoy a superb lunch prepared by fabulous local restaurant, The Cellar.

For those heading back to Sydney, we’ll jump back on the bus at about 3pm and head back to the big smoke.
